Dear Editor: To my neighbors in Alna: I've been hearing a lot over the past couple of years about how our town is so divided. I take a very different point of view and couldn't disagree more. Sure we have disagreements, some large, but I think when we get down to it, we are quite united. We are united in thinking Alna is a great place to call home and believing this is town is the right place to grow up and raise our families. We are united in believing that to honor Alna's rich history and traditions is just as important as deciding on and securing a successful direction for Alna's future. Residents of Alna are united in their desire to help their neighbors when times are tough while keeping the spirit of Yankee frugal-ness alive in how we decide to conduct the town's business. These are the things I believe about our town. I want my Select Board members to share this point of view. Charlie Culbertson shares this point of view.
