A Vancouver police officer has now been charged following an investigation into a variety of offences related to theft, drugs, and breach of trust, the VPD said on Monday. In a release, police said the investigation began in May of 2020, after concerns around the officer’s on-duty conduct was brought forward. During the investigation into the officer – identified as VPD Const. Neil Logan – police also began an investigation into one of his associates. As a result, 20-year-old Surrey resident Dilpreet Kooner has been charged with four offences related to drug trafficking. “My team began a criminal investigation last May after concerns about Constable Logan’s on-duty conduct were identified,” said VPD Insp. Mike Heard. “Our investigation into that conduct revealed additional concerning behaviour and criminal activity by Mr. Logan.”
