W.R. Swann chooses Aon as OCIO Aon as its first fiduciary manager. The £40 million ($56 million) pension fund's sponsor, W. R. Swann, is part of surgical equipment manufacturer Swann Morton. The trustees were looking to manage investment risks, costs and trustee time associated with running the pension fund, Mike Hirst, chairman of the trustees, said in an email. Aon was chosen following a competitive procurement process and followed an investment strategy review that highlighted the chance of reducing risk and costs by moving to an outsourced CIO approach, a news release by the consultant said.
