Reporter dare and shirleen, the number of cases has slowed. Only three new cases but two of them fatalities. To make sure that the outbreak is under control, a new Health Department order regarding those cooling towers which are at the heart of this outbreak. Building owners will be required to test the cooling systems within 14 days and failure to comply will be considered a misdemeanor. The mayor announcing the numbers r number of cases in the the number of cases in the bronx has hit triple digits, 100 and ten fatal. The state Health Commissioner was in the bronx with ruben diaz touring complex concourse plaza. The state has been doing the lab testing for the city and will now provide the testing for free for building owners, testing that is now mandatory. The order instructs the owners or managers to test and disinfect their cooling tower within the next 14 days. Failure to the commissioners order is a misdemeanor. We are doing this out of an abundance of caution. Everyone understands that the outbreak has been limited to one community in our city. A 25yearold man went under wednesday evening around 7 30 at beach b in an unprotected area, where there is no lifeguard on duty. At this point we dont know swimming. Reporter the Monmouth CountySheriffs Office leading the operation in part using a sonar to take pictures of the ocean floor. It has been tweeting out updates all day. The Shallow Water at beach b is only 3 feet deep but quickly drops off to 50 feet. A beach like this is like you have to understand the ocean. Yourself. Investigators say he was captured in east orange about 30 miles from the concert venue. Police say he fired multiple shots monday night. Two men, ages 23 and 24 were critically injured.
