Reporter unfortunately, liz, this was a cause and effect kind of because of where this accident happened, the delays are treacherous throughout the area. You can see all lanes are shut down as jim had mentioned. What that means for you, as you travel north on 287, youre closed right off the freeway, south on 87, that closure is in place at the throughway, and 17 as well. So those delays are just treacherous. Your delay on 287 begins back at 208. 17, it is backed up all the way through ho hocus, and 87 has a mile delay on it as you travel south on 87. Look at this, the lanes that are open, this the northbound side of the throughway you were looking at, and because they are bringing in emergency crews, and everyone stopping to take a look at what is described as a horrific accident, these delays take you to money see. A man has been charged with manslaughter after a freak accident in brooklyn that left his girlfriend died. 29yearold Danielle Arronsen and andrew zajac got into Andrew Berkowitz got into a fight. Arronsen got into the backseat of the couples car. When the car made a turn, the door opened and she fell out. She hit her head on the ground, and later died. Andrew berkowitz is also facing dwi and criminally negligent homicide charges. In another accident, this one happening in North Amityville jolted a family of five out of bed this morning, a car went out of control and slammed into their house early this morning. Was hurt. The driver and a passenger were able to walk away from the crash but they were taken to the hospital as a precaution. The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
