The Coxhead brothers’ judge-alone trial is set to continu on Wednesday. The judge-alone trial of two brothers facing a litany of charges continued mostly in chambers on Tuesday. The trial of Matthew David Coxhead and Regan Donald Coxhead continued in the New Plymouth District Court, but the majority of the day was spent behind closed doors. The pair are facing charges relating to theft and cannabis. During the short time in open court, Regan Coxhead pleaded guilty to two cannabis charges. Crown prosecutor Jacob Bourke asked questions of witness Sergeant Grant Sawtell around the discovery of cannabis plants at a Waitara address and the sighting of a vehicle.
