Posted: February 4, 2021 Walking down Baker Street has become more interesting Cranbrook Arts’ feature artist is making the window display full of colour and style. Local artist Anne Aitken Anderson is the highlight for the month of February. Aitken Anderson is a long time Elk Valley resident and emergent artist, who loves to experiment with different mediums and loosely capture the emotion of the beautiful surrounding landscape. Aitken Anderson grew up on the East Coast of Canada in a home surrounded by artists and eccentrics. She is strongly influenced by the wackiness of her childhood home where her mother painted a giant colourful mural of “Noah’s Ark” and all the animals across the front of the family home.
