Two new playgrounds are coming soon to Wall Elementary School in Sturgis. Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education on Monday approved a recommendation from school officials to buy two playground sets from Sinclair Recreation LLC of Holland. Each set will cost $200,000, for a total of $400,000. School officials noted satisfaction with previous work done by Sinclair for the district, as the company also installed the playgrounds at Congress and Wenzel elementaries. The two playgrounds will be installed to provide ease of access by students at both ends of the building, superintendent Art Ebert said. Ray Sterling, the district's director of finance, said officials will meet with Sinclair in the coming days to determine what current equipment must be removed, and which may be retained and relocated.
