WARNING: A burglar breaking into a property BURGLARS struck at five homes in Bolton in three days as police fight to catch the criminals. Five homes were broken into in Astley Bridge and Smithills between Monday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 14 with a vehicle taken in one of the incidents. It is thought the same group of culprits are responsible for the break-ins and police are working to "bring the offenders to justice". Sergeant Helen Atherton said: "Five homes were broken into in the Astley Bridge and Smithills area of Bolton between Monday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 14. "The incidents all took place during the early hours of the morning and in one of the burglaries a vehicle was taken.
