WasteAid to launch circular economy network in India
In its second session of webinar series on innovation in resource recovery and job creation in low to middle-income countries slated for 19 January 2021, waste management specialist WasteAid will talk about its partnership with packaging major Huhtamaki in India.
The panellists for the session will include Michelle Wilson of WasteAid, Subhas Chandra Mitra of Huhtamaki India, Swati Singh Sambyal of UN-Habitat India and Afsar Ahmed Mohammed of Recykal (Rapidue Technologies). Dinesh Bandella, CEN project manager India, will be the event’s convenor.
The Huhtamaki funded project in India will provide financial support to WasteAid to deliver education and training on waste management and circular systems. The programme is expected to help communities affected by poor waste management by developing alternatives to dumping and burning of household waste, reduce health problems and builds stronger local economies.
