Waterloo Public High Schools Resuming In-Person Learning After months of online learning, some Waterloo students will soon be returning to the classrooms. East and West High Schools are resuming daily, in-person instruction on Feb. 1, Waterloo District officials announced Friday morning. In a press release, they said data shows that there is limited-to-no spread of COVID-19 occurring in any of the district's buildings. District officials shared the following message with the students' families: "We are grateful for the support and patience from our students and families during this difficult time. We know learning improves when students are in school full-time, so over the past few months, we have worked collaboratively on a plan that allows students to transition away from the A/B hybrid schedule and safely resume full-time, in-person classes. Bringing our students back full-time with continued safety precautions will allow students to better engage with their instructors and improve learning."
