Waterloo region's Jewish community is celebrating the start of Hanukkah Thursday at sundown, when the first candle of the menorah will be lit.

Waterloo region's Jewish community is celebrating the start of Hanukkah at sundown Thursday, when the first candle of the menorah will be lit.
There won't be a public celebration to light a menorah in uptown Waterloo this year, but the Rohr Chabad Centre for Jewish Life has come up with a creative way to honour the festival of lights.
