Wave heights diminish, gusty offshore flow develops and last updated 2021-01-06 09:28:16-05 The High Surf Warning for west-facing beaches on the Central Coast will expire at 9 a.m. Wednesday. We will notice wave heights diminish below 20 ft by the afternoon. However, there is still plenty of wave energy rippling down from the North Pacific so anticipate a High Surf Advisory to be issued for the remainder of the week. Central Coast beaches will likely see swells of 10-15 ft. Decreasing swell for the Santa Barbara County South Coast too, but the High Surf Advisory stays in place through Saturday evening for 4-7 ft swells.
