Three minutes until 7 00 went out and walked the dog, came back at 14 after and thought i was seeing things. I literally thought that things started at 6 00. I thought i missed an hour right . Crazy. A dominating win by the u. S. Women over a very good team from japan. It is our top story. Natalie is in vancouver still celebrating this record third world cup title. Natalie, good morning to you. Reporter hoda how could you miss the first ten minutes of the game . I know reporter i cant believe it i feel awful. Reporter when i saw your tweet yesterday, i thought im going oh to give it to her tomorrow morning, because you missed the most epic beginning of the game. Let me tell you, it was thrilling, it was stunning it was amazing. Everybody in the stands was on their feet for the first 15 minutes. Ive never seen anything like it. Ive been to a lot of soccer games, even the youth soccer games and this was just unbelievable. The u. S. Women claiming that title once again, their third world cup, an epic victory and history in the making. Bleeding red, white and blue the fifa world cup back in the hands of team usa. Pure elation. Im so proud of this team and these players. Im so happy for them. So happy for every little girl that dreams about this. Reporter it was an epic start. Big shot goal reporter under three minutes in midfielder carli lloyd scoring the quickest goal ever in a womens u. S. World cup final. Just netting. And again again reporter and again. Morgan. Goal see the goalkeeper reporter and again. Lloyd banking a hat trick in less than 16 minutes. The first ever in a World Cup Final, putting the u. S. Up 40. I was just on a mission. I was on a mission to help my team win this game. Reporter fans all across the country and at 35,000 feet couldnt believe it. The winning match, sweet revenge following the 2011 World Cup Finals when the u. S. Lost to japan in the penalty shootout. This time around it was japan playing catchup. Japan is on the board. Reporter scoring two goals to cut the lead in half. Thats a goal from this angle. Took a swing. Goal reporter but it wasnt enough. The u. S. Powerhouse defeating the former champions 52. The highestscoring womens World Cup Final in history. Thats it game over the drought is over. The u. S. Wins. Reporter the gold en ball for most outstanding player carli lloyd. The win marking a bittersweet end for 40yearold christie rampone, the only remaining player from the 1995 team. And abby wambach who received a standing ovation before entering the game in the 79th minute. The fourth and final appearance for the gold medalist. Her first win. I know now what its like to be a World Champion so im going to go with it for at least the next 24 actually im going to go with it for the rest of my life. Im a World Champion. Reporter she certainly can go with it for the rest of her life as can the entire team. Congrats to them once again. This is what i got to show for it my championship tshirt. And with that matt ill send it back to you. All right, natalie, thank you very much. Carli lloyd joins us now. Carli, good morning. Congratulations. Thank you. Appreciate it. Reporter should i say thanks for getting up early or thanks for staying up late . Which one is it . Yeah i havent slept a minute so i dont even know what time of day it is. Im just rolling with it. Well its still the good time. In the moment. You should be. Talk to me about just when the game ended, what were the emotions like that ran through you . You know honestly it just didnt feel real. I dont know why. I dont know if it was because of the fashion, how it was a 52 game. It was just it was unbelievable. And something that we all have wanted so long the heartbreak in 2011 losing to japan, and then this game. It was just an unbelievable moment something that well cherish for the rest of our lives. I want to read you a list okay . I want to read you a list of all of the people all of the incredible players who have gotten a hat trick in the final of a world cup, all right . Theres carli lloyd. All right. Thats it. Thats the only one. Youre the only player to ever do that. How does that feel . Pretty incredible. Its hard because you go through these journeys year after year and youre just so focused on the one thing that you have and you dont really stop and think about how much youve accomplished. And i will savor and cherish this moment for a little bit, because it all the hard work has definitely paid off. But credit to my teammates and coaching staff, as well. Because without them none of this would be possible. You know im looking at your shirt there. Because above the usa soccer logo there used to be two stars. Each one for the previous world cup victories. And im looking theyve already gotten you a third star to put up there. What was it like to see that logo with those stars . Happy. Joy. We look down at these stars, and one of those stars is belongs to us and it will always belong to us. And we are just super, super happy. I think that a lot of us needed to pinch ourselves and see if this was really happening, because just the way that it all unfolded from start to finish, it was just an epic journey, one well never forget. Well you have perhaps had the greatest game of your life on the biggest possible stage. Carli lloyd, congratulations. Thank you. Appreciate it. It thank you. Great seeing you. Wow even though they werent the numberone ranked team in the world, germany was, i think there was enormous pressure on them going into this. And i think were going to hear carli lloyded add to the list of names like ham. They just dominated from the first minute of that game. The twitter traffic alone is just incredible. And the thing i kept reading, who knew soccer was so exciting and so fast. It was fierce. I learned that lesson. All right. Many greeks believe him, pouring into the streets last night, 60 voted no to europes debt demands. Now they think greeces massive loans will be reduced. Theyre celebrating like they just won the super bowl. But this morning, the world is waking up to more financial uncertainty. European markets opened sharply lower. You can expect u. S. Markets to open lower as well. Just how much really depends on whether or not greece can get a deal done. Reporter and the feekt of this crisis with greece facing a 1930s style depression will be felt around the world. And as greece breaks away from europe and if its economy collapses, it does have more than just financial implications. This country has a u. S.
