Weve been asking Atlantic City police as well as well as the atlanta county Prosecutors Office how Many Police Officers were involved in the shooting and how many shots were fired. We dont have those questions answered just yet. The Prosecutors Office says theyre still piecing together this investigation for is suspects name and how hes doing if he survives has not yet been made clear. Thats how Chester Countys District Attorney describes a private School Principal accused of having inappropriate contact with a student. George simons worked at the Concept School when police say the crimes happened. This isnt the only local school where hes worked with children. Drew smith is live this afternoon with the allegations and the schools response as well. Drew . Reporter we found out the school board here at the Concept School has fired George Simons and while the school may be closed for the summer this Police Investigation certainly is not. Theyre asking anyone with information to come forward because there may be other possible victims out there. George symonds is out of jail free on bail. His attorney tells nbc10 he maintains his innocence and will fight the charges. But Chester County District Attorney tom hogan says he has a strong case independence the former principal of the school. Thats tremendous abuse of position of trust and also tremendous abuse of power. Reporter hogan said the 62yearold began the illegal contact with the eighth Grade Student last year and it continued this year with texts and emails saying he loved the boy, then later telling the victim to delete the evidence. Pulling the victim into his office in order to get access to him and to physically grope him, again, have manipulative. Reporter the school would not agree to an oncamera interview. Instead it sent a written statement saying in part since being notified of this deeply troubling and very serious matter, we have been and will continue to be fully cooperative with Law Enforcement authorities. Abby newman is an advocate for abused children. We asked her about this case. It can happen with a principal the same way it can happen with a teacher, a janitor, a bus driver. Somebody who puts themselves in a close proximity to children and grooms not only the child but the entire community. Reporter hogan points out there is a lesson to be learned here. Police have charged three people in connection with the crimes and investigators say its part of a bigger random killing spree. In less than an hour sunday morning the subpoenas allegedly killed an easton man, shot at two others then killed a man and a woman inside their car in allentown. Police say two of the suspects were also responsible for three robberies yesterday. Cory ketro was shot on lehigh street near hiss easton home. Minutes later police discovered the bodies of trevor gray and fran seen ramos at 6th and greenleaf streets. Police arrested Robert Jordan todd west, and kareem mitchell. Court documents say mitchell was driving his mothers suv and west allegedly fired the shots. Police believe jordan bought the bullets. Investigators havent said what the motive was for the killings. Part of a child pornography investigation, one mans home was searched. He became subways spokesperson after losing nearly 250 pounds by regularly eating their sandwiches. Schloegel also started a foundation to combat childhood obesity. Subway says todays raid is likely linked to a former employee of the foundation. His comments came in a civil lawsuit brought ten years ago by former Temple University employee. She claimed cosby sexually attacked her. The county prosecutor at the time tells nbc10 even if he knew of cosbys admissions back then he could not have filed criminal charges. We didnt have any corroboration, couldnt get a search warrant to look for trace evidence at his home, so what i had was a suspicion and a theory but i didnt have any proof. They looked a lot like these little white pills, powerful sedatives originally prescribed in the 1960s as sleeping pills, but they quickly became Popular Party drugs in the 70s and 80s for their ability to cause a hypnotic high that can also be very addictive. That is according to the state newspaper in South Carolina. Some House Republicans have suggested replacing the Confederate Flag with other historic and possibly controversial flags. Others want to move the flag next to a confederate soldiers memorial, while others simply want to keep the flag where it is on capitol grounds. Her husband, reverend clementa pinckney, was one of nine People Killed in last months Charleston Church massacre. The man police say is responsible for that Charleston Church massacre was indicted today on three new charges of attempted murder. This is dashcam video from his arrest last month. Prosecutors say the charges against dylann roof stem from the people who survived the june 17th attack. Roof is already charged with nine counts of murder. Espn announced the espy celebrity golf classic will not be played at trumps course in los angeles. The annual Charity Tournament was supposed to be played at Trump National a week from today. It benefits the foundation Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research fund. It provides resources for important Cancer Research for minority populations. Espn is the latest in just a long line of companies to cut ties with trump after his comments about mexican immigrants. Trump told reporters, not a big deal. This afternoon we have new video of former Florida State quarterback Deandre Johnson punching a woman inside a bar. We want to warn you, this video is jarring. Youre going to see in the Surveillance Video johnson is seen arguing with the woman, and she raises a fist, he grabs her arm, she tries to hit him, but he punches her in the face. This happened two weeks ago. Johnson is charged now with misdemeanor battery. His attorney said while his client is embarrassed and apologetic the woman was yelling racial slurs at him. The woman hasnt commented. Johnsons been cut from the team and is now volunteering at a Domestic Violence shelter. A home exploded in Allegheny County today. No one, though was hurt here. This explosion happened around 11 00 this morning in North Braddock about ten miles southeast of pittsburgh. Right now the home is still standing, but you can see the front is basically blown off. The cause of this explosion has yet to be determined. Rescue crews say big four ice caves in Washington State are too unstable to recover body of a person killed there. The victim tied when part of caves collapsed yesterday afternoon and four other people including a child, were hurt as they were exploring those caves. All right. Reporter today in delaware the governor signed a new law that adds ecig rhetts to the states Clean Indoor Air act. Basically wherever you cant smoke a traditional cigarette, you cant smoke an ecigarette. Stores may 80 of the revenue from the devices and the juice they put in them. More and more teenagers are spoking ecigarettes but if youre under 18 youre not legally able to buy the product. The American Lung and heart associations superintendent port delaware. And even the general manager at this vape shop says shes on board with it but she thinks the state did the right thing letting vape customers try products in the store. I can understand them banning it in Public Places because we dont want to expose anybody who doesnt want to be exposed to it, you know, just like i wouldnt expect somebody to walk through the food store vaping.
