Well beyond the immediate center city neighborhood, were talking about the Spring Garden neighborhood fairmount, even parts of the University City area will be impacted with traffic and lifestyle effects. The mayor said this is philadelphias moment in time. He admits the regular routines of residents will be altered for a couple days. I certainly do very very well. Understand that there are many many concerns. And this afternoon, mayor nutter addressed one of the biggest city traffic during the popes visit. Officials unveiled this map of the socalled traffic box in effect from that friday evening through at least sunday evening. The private vehicle lockdown zone bound in to the south by south street over to ridge and up to girard. From east to west, its basically river to river. Delaware avenue over to the Schuylkill River and up along kelly drive. Private vehicles can exit the traffic box during those days but they will not be allowed to enter the box at any point. Cars can drive within the box if theyre willing to navigate crowds and traffic. For now its not clear if cabs will be running within the box. Its one of the remaining details still being considered with the event 7 1 2 weeks away. In short, there are many people and agencies working in concert to create the best most thoughtfully executed plan for our city and region during the world meeting of families. Obviously the vine street expressway 676 runs right through the middle of that traffic box, it will be closed in both directions during those days. Now to breaking news in folcroft Delaware County a body was found in a creek this afternoon, police are trying to determine if its the boy who vanished from that area a few days ago. Searchers discovered the body while looking for you 11yearold laquan lattimore, he was last seen monday afternoon on his bike. The fbi joined in on the search with local police. They passed out flyers searched through cars and waded into creeks. Searchers on board a boat on the darby creek found the body. The medical Examiners Office is working to identify it. His family says hes never run away or disappeared before. Worry me too, its not like quan not to show up or come in in a house. Hes usually outside playing around. Or i see him with the other boys riding his bike around here. Crime scene investigators and the medical Examiners Office are along the darby creek tonight. Right now at 5 00 an associate of congressman chaka fattah appeared in court for the first time today after both were named in a federal indictment. He bribed the congressman to arrange for an ambassadorship or other high level federal appointments. Fattah allegedly tried to help beader man in exchange for high value gifts for an appointment. Reporter he arrived here with the man who identified himself as a family friend and his attorney. The family friend pulled a car up to the curb and whisked beaderman away. He did not say much. Federal prosecutors say that he is involved in an attempt to bribe the congressman, that he provided money and other valuable items in order to obtain a federal appointment. The timing of rain before the weeks over. Some of you will see quite a bit of rain, some of us not so much. An armed man opened fire in a Movie Theater in tennessee today. The man was seen wielding a hatchet, gun and pepper spray. This all occurred this afternoon at a theater in antioch, just outside nashville. A massive show of force outside the hickory 8 Movie Theater. A man armed with a gun and a hatchet entered a theering during an afternoon showing of mad max. Inside the theater, the gunman fired on an officer, before s. W. A. T. Teams moved in. The s. W. A. T. Team engaged the gunman, some minutes later, there was gunfire and the gunman is deceased. Just inside the Movie Theater. The suspect carried in two backpacks along with the weapons. Investigators are working to determine if the packs contain any explosives. One person is reported to have suffered a minor hatchet wound but did not require hospitalization. Three moviegoers were exposed to pepper spray, believed to have been dispersed by the gunman.
