Atlantic city, your current temperature 68 degrees. More importantly were seeing southerly and southerly winds. Southwesterly winds and thats why conditions right now are so muggy and this is why were also seeing dense fog especially north and west. Because of that tropical influence, dew points in the 60s. Temperatures in the 60s so thats definitely all the ingredients we need for that fog to develop. A live look over Citizens Bank park, its not foggy here, but as we take a look at our fog forecast for the rest of the day well start this at 6 00 a. M. And we are seeing some more dense fog even though were seeing a break in improvement here. Westchester seeing a clearing and more dense fog for bethlehem, bridge water, montgomeryville and then conditions are going to start to improve as the day progresses. Coming up, well talk about some scattered showers. Were watching the new jersey turnpike right now, so the turnpike actually, this is the northbound side right here. This is the southbound side. So any traffic moving this direction moving toward the delaware memorial bridge, no problems getting over the bridge right now. Watch for construction on ongoing projects. Theres a traffic light out around city avenue and monument road so youll be able to get through. Might be a little confusing especially when rush hour gets underway. Were watching for rush shower on the schuylkill also. Speeds are dropping but theyre still into the 50s. Thanks for that update. Bullets fly in north philadelphia on a warm night in the city. A group of people were out enjoying the night when a car drove up and the people inside started shooting. Nbc 10 is live outside the east detective division. Police are calling this a brazen crime and the search is on. Reporter so many people were outside at the time having a good time and then the bullets started flying. Police are still looking for the people who did this and theyre hoping to maybe get more information from the victims in this case. Now, lets go to the video from the scene that happened just before 10 00 last night. Four men were just sitting outside when the bullets started coming at them. Police nearby heard those gunshots and rushed over to find the victims, two men in their 50s and two others in their early to mid30s. All of them are in the hospital. One that was shot in the chest at last check was in surgery. His condition is unknown. Sounds like we have a problem with the audio. All right. Lets move on. New this morning in philadelphias logan neighborhood, witnesses saw two men run from the scene of a shooting after leaving the victim in a pool of his own blood. He was shot in the head. It happened near the intersection of hutchinson and rockland street just before 9 30 last night. Right now police dont have any suspects or a motive. Its 6 04 and the top house and Senate Democrats have announced theyve struck a deal on daca with President Trump. The agreement would protect 800,000 undocumented immigrants brought over as children. If approved by congress, the socalled dreamers would be allowed to stay and potentially get permanent legal residency here. The deal also includes more money for Border Security but no funding for the wall. It came after Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer and nancy pelosi met with the president over dinner last night. The white house followed up saying the president did not agree to exclude the border wall for good. And he will continue pushing it with congress. President trumps orange fall move last week to end daca met with this protest in philadelphia. Demonstrators rallied to signal their support for immigrant dreamers. This morning we are following a developing story on pennsylvanias budget battle. Late last night the house approved a spending plan that plugs a 2. 2 billion budget gap. The republican plan passed by a vote of 10391. It needed 102 votes to pass. The plan does not include new taxes and it siphons money from mass transit, Environmental Protection and economic development. The vote comes just days before the state could run out of money to pay its bills. The governor says that will happen tomorrow. But even if the Senate Passes this bill it doesnt reconvene until monday. And Senate Majority leader issued a statement following last nights vote. He says, quote, we recognize the urgency of the situation and will act swiftly to address the needs of the commonwealth. A woman is accused of trying to kill her own mother by injecting her with insulin. Investigators say she told them she wanted to end her mothers suffering and admitted she injected her. The woman owns a pharmacy in northeast philadelphia. Her mother suffers from dementia. Investigators say her mother was treated three times in august for low blood sugar. Hospital officials told police she had insulin in her body from an outside source. Today people will gather at the historic grand ole opry in nashville for a Memorial Service honoring troy gentry. He was killed in last weeks helicopter crash. The Service Begins at 11 00 and will be live streamed for fans. Meantime, the ntsb says engine problems are to blame for that crash which also killed the pilot. Officials released a preliminary report yesterday. The pilot reported mechanical problems shortly after takeoff. Soon after that the helicopter fell from the sky. In philadelphia, a local bike sharing company is adding a little art to its bicycle lineup. Indigowill unveil a group of bikes that are decorated to become rolling art displays. Theyll feature the works of world class artists. The company has teamed up with the Barns Foundation in hopes of driving people to see the museums world class collection. Senator Bernie Sanders has unveiled the details of its health care bill. It also expands medicare. People would make payments depending on their income directly to the government. Critics say the bill will go nowhere since there arent enough details about the final costs and where the money to pay for it will come from. New jersey senator cosponsored that plan. The pinelands expects a big turnout when it meets on a proposed pipeline project right through the protected pine barrens. The meeting has been moved to a theater in trenton to accommodate the expected crowd. Now, the commission initially approved the pineland the pipeline rather in february. It would run for 22 miles from cumberland to Cape May County supplying energy to more than 140,000 customers. Supporters say the pipeline would increase Energy Reliability in south jersey but they fear it will damage the pinelands. The Camden City School district is now one of only two districts in the state to remain under state control. The patterson School District is the only other. Now the state officials have voted to give the city of newark control over its Public Schools again. The new jersey board of education voted yesterday to allow newark to regain control of its schools again, after 22 years of state oversight. The state took control of the schools in 1995 because of academic underperformance and budget issues. The commissioner said the newark School District had made progress in improving performance. The move was celebrated with a pep rally at city hall. For 22 years, weve been a shadow in our own community. Not today. We are ready. I want you to see the improvement from south to north, so again, the worst of the fog is contained north and west of philadelphia. So definitely seeing improvement here in the philly metro area, in jersey, south jersey to jersey shore and for delaware, still seeing a little bit of an issue there as well as bethlehem but notice a break here.
