I think tomorrow morning we could be five to ten degrees cooler than this to start all thanks to that cool air thats shifting in right now. But, still, right now this is a fairly cool start to your morning. You might want at least a light jacket out the door or an early run. Heres radar and satellite, so we will have some clouds in and out today. Again, the backside of that storm system is going to roll some clouds and isolated showers over us. Isolated being the keyword. This is nowhere near a washout. Many of us wont see any rain today. Its focused more so todays forecast on the temperatures. Take a look as we go through your morning into your afternoon, only about the mid 60s. And thats where we stop. Then it gets cool overnight. setting the pole on fire. There are downed wires there as well. And crews at the scene tell us it may be as late as noon before power is fully restored. This morning, a child is in the hospital and a shooter is on the run after someone opened fire on the streets of north philadelphia. Nbc10s matt delucia is live for us at st. Christophers hospital in north philadelphia. Matt, what do police think happened here . Reporter well, katy, that is the big question this morning, who would shoot a 6yearold boy . Weve been making calls to get updates overnight. What we can tell you is the 6yearold boy is expected to e recover. Hes right here at st. Christophers hospital for children. But imagine last night hes standing outside his house talking with his older brother and his father when all the sudden gunshots start. And he realizes he is shot and then quickly rushed to the hospital. Right now investigators dont really know what started this violence, but we do know that the 6yearold was an innocent victim here, as you can imagine. Now, this all happened around 8 00 last night. This was at west norris street and 24th street. Witnesses say they heard about four gunshots fired. And the 6yearold was hit in the shoulder and ran inside the house and then he was quickly rushed to the hospital. But philly police have spent the past several hours, really all night, looking for the guy who pulled the trigger. Yeah, he was obviously struck by stray gunfire. Nobody intentionally shoots a 6yearold. And he was shot in his left shoulder. Reporter now, the shooter did run away. Witnesses say that he fled on foot, but the only description they really have at this point is that he is a man and he was wearing a dark shirt at the time. Critical supplies including food and water are finally trickling in to the hands of the people who need it the most. San juans mayor says the government is, quote, killing us request inefficiency. President trump is defending his governments actions saying it was doing an incredible job against daunting odds. Here in philadelphia the call for help for puerto rico is growing louder. They say shes about three or four based on dental records. She gets along well with other dogs. Yeah, shes been great with other dogs. I have a puppy at home and shes been super sweet. So even though shes so hyper its its all love. Its all love. Shes really friendly. Shes excited to be on tv, as you can tell. I know. Hi, sweetie. What about families with kids . We havent tested her with children, but, you know, as long as people maybe adult bring older children where they get jumpy and excited they wont get overwhelmed will be best. You can see from our live camera view a few of us have some scattered clouds overhead, but we have a good bid e bit of sunshine to start our morning.
