The area here, we have been talking with the folks who have come into town, some of the folks who were at the concert on sunday. They speak about the horror. You see on las vegas boulevard, this is not a sight you see too often. This is the busiest street here on the in las vegas right here. This is the strip, this is the south end of the strip, if youre familiar with las vegas at all and you see the police cars there and the Police Officers have this whole area shut down. Weve seen people leaving balloons, candle, and messages for the victims there. This is just one of the things that we have seen here in terms of the outpouring of support from the folks near and far. Matt, i retweeted one of your tweets that you flew out there yesterday, and the Flight Attendant on your flight was asking people as they left, please be kind to the people who you come across, smile, say hello. What are you seeing in terms of the mood there . Reporter right. That was one of the interesting things. You dont know what somebody else is dealing with. When we boarded the flight, we had no idea. We were talking to folks on the flight. They didnt know anybody, but they felt sorry about what happened. As we were getting off the plane, the Flight Attendants came on the p. A. And said we had friends that were at the concert, and we didnt know what their status was, if they had survived or gotten out until about halfway through the flight. Fortunately they were able to get out there. A lot of people didnt get the news. Some are still waiting for news if their loved ones or friends made it out. You could hear them over your head. We just ran. I called my mom when shots were being fired. Told her i loved her. I said, im going to run, ill be okay. A terrifying feeling to be running backwards away from shots right behind you. This poor lady next to me, she goes, i know my boyfriends dead. I just know it. He didnt make it. The whole plane ride home, i sometimes you start crying, you know. Why did this happen .
