Right after, she calmly called 911. She described an incident had occur red and that her children were deceased. We all have the questions why would someone do what she had done. To us, we dont have the answers either. Reporter police dont know what led her to kill the boys, but hours earlier, she called 911. An officer responded at 3 46 a. M. The immigrants boyfriend was recently locked up on an immigration issue. She was worried about her own future, but police say in the middle of the night the responding officer saw nothing to suggest a double murder was about to take place five hours later. Our officer at the time saw the 5yearold and did not see anything indicative of any type of distress in the home on such an unnecessary, tragic death. Back live now outside the home, this family shared together until yesterday morning. Mom being held on bail on her video arraignment, she yelled shes innocent. Police went to the prison to tell the father of the boy that his sons were dead. They still have not found the biological mother of the older child. Im tim furlong, nbc 10 news. The department of justice says 18 inmates are responsible for februarys prison riot. 16 of them face murder charges in the death of corrections officer lieutenant steven floyd. Authorities say the inmates kidnapped several workers in an attempt to demand better treatment from theirc sue pepe. The uprising virtually shut down operations at the prison. Nbc 10 spoke to the wife of a corrections officer who said despite the charges, worried for her husbands safety. Cant really say whats going to happen. I say do what you do. My husband has been deployed overseas many times. He has a different perspective from a of people there. The office of Defense Services said it will provide representation for the inmates involved. The attorneys for the family and for six hostages had no comment. Other news now, a woman was hit and killed by this transit bus outside the town center. You see the bus there in the parking lot. Investigators are talking to passengers on that bus at the time as well as the bus driver. Police are waiting to release the womans name until her family has been notified. Two people are in the hospital after a car crashed into a shop. The driver lost control and jumped the curve. The 57yearold driver remained at the south american. One of the victims is now listed in critical condition. And imagine being stuck right here. Debris on the road forced nine people to pull their cars over on the shoulder near academy road.
