Heres what we know from authorities. They say the amtrak train collided with a Freight Train and derailed around 2 45 this morning. Eight crew members and about 139 passengers were on board that amtrak train. Officials say First Responders got everybody off. Were working to find out the extent of the injuries. Its going to drive past to the south of us. All that rain is going to center up over us. You see that that radar is indicating heavy rain at the yellows, oranges, reds. That will make it to us too. The hour by hour, lets talk about what we expect. Through the morning. This morning, about 10 00 a. M. Or so, i do believe well see more snow falling over Lehigh Valley, berks county. The problem is, temperatures even if theyre a smidge above freezing. The roadways will be at or below freezing. Cold last night and yesterday. We could see slick or icy spots out there. That continues through 11 30 as we start to see more of that moisture approaching from the southwest. Thats the rain approaching. Check it out. Through the afternoon, that rain snow line starts to edge quickly along to the north. We see everyone farther south with just the rain. Once we get 4 00 p. M. And beyond, now we have periods of heavy rain possible. Look at the temperatures. Low, mid40s. Temperatures are not a problem. But the heavy rain could be a problem. Take it slow out there. This rain continues through 8 00 at night. By 10 00 to 11 00 at night, it will start to exit the area. Then tomorrow morning, again, were looking at temperatures right near or below freezing.
