New overnight, police are searching for the shooter who targeted two men just outside of a deli in philadelphias logan neighborhood. The shooting happened at broad and rockland streets just before 2 00. Both victims are in stable condition. A neighborhood in old city is struggling to recover after this four alarm fire. It burned through an Historic Building that housed a diner on the first floor with condos above. Now we have new details about the plans to carefully demolish the structure. We have the details live. Reporter good morning. Its going to be a delicate process to bring this building down. Crews are back at it again early this morning. Take a look behind me. Theyre working on one of the buildings next to the one that caught fire, clearing debris and getting it ready for demolition. City inspectors found the entire building here at 239 chestnut at at collapse. That puts other buildings nearby in danger. Demolition begins sometime this coming week. Crews are going to try to salvage at least one part of the historic structure. The first floor facade will be kept as a piece of history. Now, that overnight fire last sunday tore through one of the most historic blocks in all of old city. A number of pets were killed. Apartments, businesses destroyed. No injuries to any residents. The cause remains under investigation and businessesed by this fire remain closed. Some of them say it could take months to open the little lion restaurant which is right next door to that building that caught fire. They say they hope to open by mothers day. On the other side of the fire, a gelatto restaurant that says they hope to open sometime this week. As you can see behind me, its going to be a lot of construction, a lot of debris, especially as they begin the delicate process of bringing the building down. Now were in old city, nbc 10 news. This morning we are learning new details about a tip to the fbi warning the Florida School shooting suspect one month before that massacre happened. A transcript of a womans call to the bureau revealed she was worried that nikolas cruz might be, quote, getting into a school and just shooting the place up. She also told the fbi that cruz had an arsenal of weapons and ammunition. And that he was, quote, going to explode. The fbi admitted it failed to investigate that womans tip. Cruz is now charged with killing 17 people inside a high school in parkland, florida last week. In the wake of this shooting, floridas republican governor appears to be going against the nra offering his ideas on gun control. Rick scott wants to prohibit anybody under the age of 21 and some people diagnosed with mengts illness from owning a gun. Our governor is calling for a ban on assault rifles. Reaction to his announcement is mixed. Its a controversial idea. At a gun stock shop, an owner tells us a ban like the one proposed wont fix the problem of mass shootings. Sit down and relax. Lets try to talk it out and see if theres any other kind of resource. And dont ban the sale of these types of guns . Guns are everywhere. Youre not going to stop every gun. Ban some, t better than none. Reporter that mother you heard from says the governors proposal is a start. Police in new castle county, delaware are asking for your help in tracking down a man wanted for exposing himself to two girls this is the composite sketch of the man. Investigators say he exposed himself twice this month in wilmington. According to police it happened after the man drove up to the girls in a green older model sedan asking for directions. In Bucks County Police are searching for a man accused of groping a teenage girl while she was shopping with her mother. According to investigators this man cryept up behind her and grabbed her. Reporter two casinos expected to open this summer at properties bringing more life and thousands of jobs back to this section of the boardwalk. It closed the last few weeks. Hopefully its a new beginning. Reporter this month an owner making more waves by taking a preliminary step toward getting a casino license for the former gaming hall. He says hes exploring his options. But at least one casino expert believes bringing gambling back to show boat would be a bad bet for ac. The capacity in the town at that point would be high too much. It would be a detrimental affect of the existing casinos. Reporter the owner is confident show boat will benefit from the location between the hard rock and ocean resort. Plus he says his company is spending millions of dollars on improvements at the property. Reinvestment is the key. And Atlantic City suffered from a lack of reinvestment.
