It’s the 40 th year for the event, which runs through Sunday on festival grounds southeast of Strawberry about two miles off Highway 3 on W-69. There will be Saturday morning workshops featuring guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, fiddle and upright bass – with an open stage on Saturday and gospel show on Sunday. Several bands will be performing, including The Anderegg Family from Ryan, who will perform this Saturday and Sunday. Other performers scheduled for the Backbone Bluegrass Festival this weekend include The Bluegrass Blondies, That Dalton Gang and the Briggs Family Band. Stage shows begin Friday at 4 pm, Saturday at 11 am and 6 pm and Sunday at 9 am. You can bring your lawn chairs and there’s camping on site. For more information, check out backbonebluegrass.com.
