What Durham looked like on the first day of the bus station closure

THIS is what Durham City looked like on the first day of the bus station closure as the current building is set for demolition within weeks.
For the next year and a half, Go North East, Arriva North East and Scarlett Band buses will all drop-off and pick-up passengers from stands in the city centre.
It is part of the Durham Bus Station Project which is seeing a brand new 'transport hub' constructed on the existing site and opened in September 2022.
At the weekend workers could be seen adding the finishing touches to the temporary stands with easy access ramps, timetables and information displays added.
