Olympic medallist Leander Paes was among the attendees, as were several golfers associated with prominent golf clubs. Eknath Shinde, Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Public Works (Public Undertakings), Government of Mahatrashtra, also attended the event. The golf course, developed as per international standards, is in the process of being upgraded from a nine-hole course to an 18-hole course. Thus, more prestigious national and international tournaments can be organised here, also giving a fillip to tourism, and amplifying living standards.
