When Jon Gruden was here during his first tenure as head coach, he had Napoleon Kaufman and after that he had Charlie Garner. The Raiders have always been a team that believes in running the ball by committee. The committee has always been comprised of a THUNDER and LIGHTNING attack. We have THUNDER in the form of Josh Jacobs. We have no LIGHTNING. I know that some of you will say that Jalen Richard is our LIGHTNING. However, Richard does not do it for me. We need an upgrade there. We need a RB that can take it to the house from any distance on the field. This has always been a constant for the Raiders when we were a winning team. Also, with a SPEED DEMON at RB, we can add another threat in the passing game by incorporating passes in space to the RB.
