WhatsApp responds saying it will not delete users’ accounts; will continue to remind users about new policy May 24, 2021 ‘Will wait until Personal Data Protection law comes’ Social messaging platform WhatsApp on Monday has said it will not delete users’ accounts even if they do not accept the new Privacy Policy but added that it will continue to remind users about the change in the policy. In a response to government’s letter, the Facebook-owned company said, “We will not limit the functionality of how WhatsApp works in the coming weeks. Instead, we will continue to remind users from time to time about the update as well as when people choose to use relevant optional features, like communicating with a business that is receiving support from Facebook.”
