By Carter Woodiel Feb 8, 2021 4:31 AM SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Demand for blood donations remains high amid the pandemic. The Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank says it’s risen by about a third since March and hasn’t let up over the past few months. “We are extremely grateful for the response and support that has been provided in our communities throughout the area,” Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank, said in a release. “There seems to be no real end to the higher demands being placed on our community’s blood supply at this time. Please consider donating blood this February and give a gift that comes from the heart and provides hope.”
