The student was killed around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday by a train that was about 1,000 yards south of the Whitman station. Separately, a 45-year-old Billerica man was fatally struck by a train at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday by a train traveling from the Wilmington station to the North Billerica train station, officials said.
