Those two dream scenarios were relatively common during the early days of the pandemic, says Deirdre Barrett, PhD, an assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, who studies dreams and is a former president of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. During the first weeks of the outbreak, she launched an online dream survey and began collecting respondents’ data.
