Wildebeest escapes crocodile's jaws after clambering out of Mara River

Video shows the 280lb animal crossing the Mara river in the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya.
As it stepped on to the riverbank, a 600lb Nile crocodile could be seen dragging the wildebeest back into the water using its sharp jaws to clamp onto the mammal's rump.
After a struggle that lasted for more than 25 seconds, the wildebeest miraculously managed to heave itself onto dry land and out of the grasp of the predator.
The remarkable show of strength and determination was captured on camera by WildEarthTV who were broadcasting the migration of wildebeest live when they caught the life or death encounter on film.
