View Comments Two wildfires are burning in the Jacks Valley Road, according to a Friday afternoon Douglas County Facebook post. The fires are on the north side of Jacks Valley Road. The road is closed between Jacks Valley Elementary School and Genoa. There are no evacuations, but the county is asking residents to remain vigilant. A fire also burned the area earlier this year. In June, a 285-acre fire off Jacks Valley Road forced closures and evacuations and threatened homes. More than 900 houses in the area lost power.
