Dialing 9-1-1 is a call you hope to never make, but now in Wilson county help could be just a text message away thanks to the county's text-to-911 option.

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Everyone knows if you're in an emergency, call 911. But what do you do if calling isn't an option? A safer alternative for people in Wilson County could mean help is just a text message away.
"So texting 911 is an option in the event that a voice call can't be made or should not be made," said Public Information Officer and Emergency Communications Officer for Wilson County 911, Bridgett Clark.
