Wilton attorney accused of stealing $1.4 million from clients | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS WILTON — An attorney who lives in the town of Wilton was arrested by state police Friday on charges of stealing $1.4 million from a client couple for whom she was doing legal work. The State Police Financial Crimes Unit arrested Ellen K. Zwijacz, 42, on charges including first-degree grand larceny, first-degree scheming to defraud, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. All the charges are felonies that could lead to a state prison sentence. Zwijacz was released without bail pending a future appearance in Wilton Town Court.
