DANVILLE, Va. â For nearly nine years, Vintages by the Dan has brought a large selection of wine and craft beer to Danvilleâs River District. The only store of its kind in Danville, Vintages brings in product from all over, from as close as Ballad Brewing just down the road to Charlottesville to France. When her youngest son went to college, owner Robin Jones, who had been a stay-at-home mom, was looking for something to do. The owners of a gift shop located at 312 Main Street called The Gourmet Frog were looking to sell, so Jones ended up buying. She opened Vintages in August 2012.
