National Security Council state director Sharifah Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof officially handing over responsibility for temporary detention depots in the state to Sabah Immigration Department director Datuk Muhamad Sade at a ceremony in Kota Kinabalu on Friday. KOTA KINABALU: The special task force that was in charge of Sabah's four temporary detention centres will not be disbanded although its operations have been handed over to the Immigration Department, says State National Security Council (NSC) director Sharifah Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof. She said the special task force would now focus on policies including overseeing illegal immigrant threats, among other matters. "As for the state NSC, we will focus more on policies relating to security and coordination of security-related issues at the state and Federal levels," she said when contacted on Saturday (Jan 2).
