The City Council Wednesday authorized staff to seek construction bids for the project, which has an estimated overall cost of over $19-million. The council rejected bids for the project last year after they came in $5-million higher than estimated.
The council was told Wednesday the project team “modified the construction plans to provide a revised staging sequence, with an anticipated timeline that will reduce the project schedule and overall impacts to the businesses and traveling public by nearly one year.”
