WORKS are ongoing to build a new environmental building at Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre to provide better facilities for injured wildlife. Last year Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) sold their front barn in order to raise enough money to start to build a purpose-built environmental building on their property on New Road, East Hunstpill. The new building will house better facilities to care for the hundreds of wildlife casualties that come through the centres doors each year. The coronavirus pandemic was ‘one of the most difficult years that the charity has encountered’ says Pauline Kidner, the charity’s founder but staff at SWWR have managed to work all the way through as an essential service.
