Person who is timing it out himself. Thats dave murphy and karen rogers has your traffic. Good morning. And temperatures this afternoon more than 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. Yes, its going to be a nice change. I like that. I have bad news for you. Im leaving you. Is it bad news . Is it. It might not be, i dont know. [laughter] it might not be. Satellite shows you cloud cover is off the coast. Lets go ahead and take temperatures and they are cool again this morning. Not quite as bad as the last couple of mornings but still chilly. 48 degrees in philadelphia. 40 in allentown, 43 trenton, 41 in reading, 43 in wilmington and 54 in cape may. As we roll through the day it is going to get milder later. 46 degrees early on at 7 oclock in philadelphia but by noon 64 and as karen mentioned thats about a 10degree jump over where we were yesterday at noon. 72 is your forecast high this afternoon. Well be back to 62 by 7 oclock. If youre dressing the kids for the bus stop this morning dress them warmly again. Some of the outlying suburbs could slip to about 37 degrees. From ick in philadelphia and once again we have a frost advisory only this time its not in the northern and western suburbs, its just in counties down south in south jersey so potted plants down there should come in in case you already havent done that. All right, karen, back to you. Were together again. Sort of. All right, lets hit the roads right now as youre heading out on a wednesday morning. Halfway through the week here. The ramp from the blue route southbound to matsonford road here in west conshohocken, we have construction blocking one of the lanes of the ramp so thats one of the crews that are still out there. Overall we had a ton of construction overnight. Most of the crews have left the scene so things are looking a lot better. Were starting to catch a slowdown on i95 southbound with some volume, about 38 Miles Per Hour southbound near girard. Everything else is in pretty good shape. We have an Early Morning accident here in Huntington Pike at Tomlinson Road so watch for that one. On 422 we had construction in both directions and a disabled truck that was causing problems eastbound at 23 but as we look live right now the construction has cleared, the truck has cleared so in that kind of sweet spot in the morning where volume is not too bad and the construction crews have left but we have a new accident here in barrington Camden County right on 295 southbound near route 30, the white horse pike. The accident, though, is on the shoulder. Matt and tam. Thank you, karen. Breaking overnight a kitchen knife became a Deadly Weapon in West Oak Lane. A man was stabbed in the back and left to die. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live at Police Headquarters with more on this. Katherine. Reporter matt and police dont know who stabbed this man and they dont know the motive. There were some witnesses who were in the area at the time that were taken here to be interviewed. Police are hoping they can learn more information from them, but lets go to video from West Oak Lane and you can see police on the scene gathering evidence last night. Police were called to the 6400 block of north 20th street around 11 30 p. M. Officers found the 43yearold victim lying on the front steps of the home about 10 feet from the front door. He had been stabbed in the back with a large kitchen knife and the knife was still in his back. He was unresponsive and medics reasoned him dead at the scene. Police say the victim did not live at that home but he was from the neighborhood. Police werent sure if he was stabbed at the home or stabbed somewhere else ran there and collapsed. We do know that there were several people inside of the property where the victim collapsed and was subsequently pronounced dead and detectives are talking to the occupants of the property to see what they know about this individual and if they know anything about the motive. Reporter there are some surveillance cameras on a nearby school and police are hoping that they might have captured something that could help in this case. The 15yearold was shot just after 10 oclock last night in the 200 block of highland avenue. Police say the teen was shot several times and rushed to christiana hospital in critical condition. It is almost 6 05. A wilmington mother is being held on 2 million bail after confessing to drowning a fiveyearold boy and her own infant son in a bathtub. Police say 30yearold kula pelima called 911 after the killings monday morning and calmly admitted it all to an operator. Authorities say police were actually at her house on the 800 block of west ninth street at 4 00 in the morning just hours before the murders when pelima called them worried about her immigration status. Officers say there was no indication that the children were in danger. The boys were half brothers. Their father is in jail on immigration violations. Happening today, jury deliberations continue in the case of a Delaware County man who is accused of committing war crimes overseas. He is on trial here for immigration fraud. 51yearold Mohammed Jabateh was arrested last year in east lansdowne. Hes charged with lying on his immigration forms while seeking asylum in the u. S. Nearly two decades ago. Prosecutors say jabateh was a high Ranking Member of liberian rebel groups for much of the 1990s. Court documents indicate jabateh has denied committing any violent acts. Pennsylvanias house of representatives is advancing another proposal to help pay for the 2. 2 billion budget shortfall. A bill brought to the house floor narrowly passed last night. Its built around borrowing 1. 5 billion and extending the states sales tax to online purchases. Legislators have been at an impasse on the budget for four months now. You know, little bit before sunrise right now so its dark but we are looking at a very bright day as we roll through the day. Temperatures right now 48 degrees. Its cool in philadelphia. Just 40 in allentown. 41 in reading. 43 in trenton. 43 in wilmington. 39 degrees in millville. And 54 at this early hour in cape may. Not quite as cool as it was yesterday but still on the cool side and you will need your sun glasses on your highways and byways across the region as we have a lack of cloud cover all the way up on the other side of buffalo and well off the coast of philadelphia of south jersey and Delaware Coast lines. Up in the Lehigh Valley today, lots of sun, milder than it was yesterday with a high of 70. Really feeling good. Down the shore still kind of cool but better than yesterday with a high of 66 degrees, mostly sunny, 64 in the ocean water not that that matters to most of you and then plenty of sunshine in philadelphia, milder this afternoon with a high of 72 and winds on the light side west at six to 12 Miles Per Hour. Overnight clear skies, not as cool, 46 degrees in the suburbs and 51 degrees in philadelphia. A little more comfortable tomorrow morning, although probably still cool enough fori. Notice jacket. Notice how the winds are pretty light. High pressure centers one after another will be cruising through. This will keep us under full sun, light winds, low humidity and high temperatures in the low 70s today but probably climbing into the mid 70s as we go through the next couple of days. There is a slight chance of a nighttime shower but hopefully its spotty enough where it misses the field or waits until after the game is over. Then on tuesday, a frontal boundary does arrive. Now, thats going to kick in more clouds. It will be clouds, some sun. There could also be some rain at times on tuesday. Could probably use it by the time that comes in and then wednesday were back into the 60s. I know im going a little off the seven day but it also looks like its going to cool down. It should be milder over the next seven days. Enjoy it because the cooler stuff is coming. Look at that. 48 degrees and right now its 6 13. How are we doing out there with the people in the cars and stuff . You know, its starting to really get busy right now and weve got breaking news. An accident involving an overturned vehicle. A serious accident right on i95 near the Philadelphia International airport right now. We can see northbound weve got this accident and suddenly a lot of emergency workers kind of coming to the scene to help with this and penndot was zooming in a minute ago and it looked like a suv that overturned right here on i95 northbound not far from the exit for the platt bridge and we see emergency workers dealing with that, a couple of vehicles off to the side and one of the vehicles is overturned an overturned suv so a bad accident on 95. We have an accident in bala cynwyd on montgomery avenue at bala avenue. Thats just coming in as well. So a couple of accidents even though were mostly with the green traffic flow. Not a lot of slowing yet on the highways. I95 southbound about 30 miles an hour going on right there with some building volume near girard. We had an accident here in Huntington Pike. That just cleared. But weve got another new accident as were spinning our cameras around. This is the schuylkill approaching 202. We see police on the scene with this accident so on the schuylkill expressway in king of prussia as you head westbound towards the pennsylvania turnpike you want to watch for this accident mostly off to the shoulder. A minute ago i was tweeting out this picture and we didnt even have emergency workers there. Now we can see police with the flashing lights so watch for this in king of prussia. Thats a new accident on the schuylkill here in king of prussia westbound and a new accident on i95 northbound near the airport so getting busy right now with the accidents kind of coming into the scene. Lets look at the temperatures. Roads are clear and dry this morning. Its chilly once again, though. Were looking at 39 degrees in quakertown and pottstown. 48, a bit better than yesterday in center city but the suburbs in new jersey showing 38 in tuckahoe, 37 in vineland, 43 in cinnaminson, 43 in dover. Another cool start but a mild afternoon, matt. Thanks karen. Firefighters are making progress on the devastating wildfires in california while new first are emerging. Plus were getting a clearer look at how close the flames came to a hospital in santa rosa. This was the scene more than a week ago at sutter hospital. Patients on gurneys being wheeled to safety as nurses and doctors wore safety masks. The staff worked to keep the patients safe as many of their own homes were burning to their ground at that moment. They even used fire extinguishers to fight the flames in the hospitals parking lot. The hospital finally reopened yesterday. U. S. Navy ship comfort is now at puerto ricos disposal. The floating hospital contains everything from operating rooms to intensive care units. First Lady Melania Trump is urging americans to help in the wake of hurricanes harvey irma and maria in a new Public Service announcement. What were hearing is that theres an accident involving an overturned suv and im seeing a tow truck, not sure if its the Fire Department but that looks like ambulance on the scene all trying to help with this accident in southwest philadelphia breaking news there on i95. Huntington pike we had an accident there that cleared but a new one on church road at bent road. David, its kind of chilly out there but roads are clear and dry to have a couple of bad accidents.
