A customer inside of a barbershop tried to stop an armed man that came in to rob the business. The victim is recovering and police have someone in custody. That person a 17yearold male is being questioned here in the 35th Police District by detectives at this hour. They are looking for a second gunman still on the loose and in the meantime the heroic person, the victim, is battling for his life. Officers canvassed the block at 27th looking for video that could lead them to the gunman that shot a Good Samaritan customer. The 27yearold victim remains in extremely Critical Condition after surgery. Police say that two gunman entered the establishment at 9 00 and a mother was there with her two children. They were getting haircuts and the gunman announced a robbery and the victim tried to stop them and the victim was shot in the leg and chest. At one point the victim of the shooting and one of the perpetrators were involved in a struggle inside of the barbershop. At least one shot fired. And the struggle spilled out on to the sidewalk and there were several other shots fired and that is when our 27yearold victim who was waiting for a haircut was shot two times. The 2900 block of north 22nd is a busy business corridor and closed down at 6 00 each night and other nearby merchants are stunned by the botched robbery and shooting. I feel bad for the man and the business period. Its just not safe. Its hard to own a business on the block. Again, that 27yearold shooting victim struggling fighting for his life at this hour. No arrests are made in connection with a deadly shooting in Delaware County overnight. Police tell action news that the victim was found on the street on the 1,000 block of barker road in Darby Township at midnight. The victim was shot in the head at close range. So far no word on the persons identity or a motive for this shooting. Fire crews respond to a fire on a pier in the penns landing section of philadelphia. It began at 4 45 on the 300 block of north Christopher Columbus boulevard. The fire was under control in about an hour and no injuries were reported and investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
