Were following a developing story in Anne Arundel County. Police there trying to figure out who left a baby on the side of the road, this near Lake Waterford park in pasadena. Darcy spencer is live where police got the call. Reporter good morning. Yeah, just a sad and tragic story. The between newgood news, it appears that hopefully the baby will be okay. But certainly a lot of questions about how this happened and where are the parents. We are on druitt hill avenue. A very quiet street. You can see right now a police car is about halfway down the block here in the 900 block. We talked to a couple of neighbors and surprisingly they told us they didnt even know that this had happened on their street. Lets go to a picture of this beautiful little baby girl. Were told she is 2 to 3 months old, she was found in a car seat carrier. If you had an infant, you know what knows are. You put them in the carrier in the back seat of your car. Again found on the side of the road. The car seat carrier had scuff marks and debris indicating that this carrier may have fallen off of a moving vehicle. Again, a lot of questions in your mind when you hear about this this how Something Like that could have happened. And one neighbor told me if that had happened and my child were missing, i would go directly to police trying to find my child. And apparently that has not happened at this point. This baby girl was transported to the hospital shes being cared for right now at this hour and were told eventually she will be turned over to child protective services. Anne Arundel Police are investigating trying to identify this baby girl as well as the parents. And the circumstances of how she ended up here on the side of the road. And one of them died. The shooting happened on douglas place in southeast near stanton road. Another of the four victims is in Critical Condition. Thats according to police. Police say someone stabbed Kevin Sutherland who is from northeast d. C. Officers found him on the noma platform. Sutherland was 24 years old. Two people are dead and three others now missing after a boat capsized during a Fireworks Show. The boat went down on the ohio river in kentucky. The people on it were watching fireworks in louisville at the time. Police say one of those missing is a child. They tried to search for them last night but said the current was just too fast. A child is among five people doctors here in d. C. Are treating right now for burns. They were hurt when a boat exploded last night. This happened at solomons island. Reporter but experts say being without work, without a daily routine, was probably making brians illness even worse, pushing him deeper down the dark hole of depression. They want the same things as everybody else, they want relationships, a home and meaningful activity. So jobs are really important for folks. Reporter richard is ceo of green door, an organization that provides services for people with severe and persistent Mental Illness. One of those services called support employment works with clients like brian acting as an advocate in helping them to get jobs. Somebody recently said that as their life got bigger, their illness got smaller. And thats one of the things that work does for people. Were an additional person to help that people look for a job. Reporter maria leads the program. She says they help with everything from creating resume, preparing for job interviews to finding positions that will work for individual clients. And having a person who is working with you, helping you stay motivated, reminding you that you have a lot to offer. And that an employer would be lucky to have you. Reporter and studies show that working can help clients heal. It gives them the stability, structure and confidence they need to take better care of themselves. And people just look and feel so differently and present themselves so differently in the world. They move around with a very different since of legitimacy. It was important to just keep my spirits up, to keep me going. Reporter after several interviews, brian pitts landed a job here at the lamondriggs library where he now works as a library technician. He says the job has helped him find focus and its even helped give him the motivation to go back to college. Its been lifechanging.
