This is on route 28 southbound just over on the overpass of i66 here. They just recently started letting northbound drivers come through here but southbound you can see is still completely stalled. Again, most of those trucks involved here, the response as well as the trucks and multiple vehicles in this accident still blocking a majority of the roadway here. And thats why traffic is being completely diverted either back onto 66 or in other directions as they try to clear this crash up. We dont know how this crash started. We do know its involving an oveturned big rig as well as several other cars. And we are hearing luckily, the good news is that there are no serious injuries at however, we do hear theres a fuel spill as well as some wires down and some debris in the roadway. So, its going to be quite awhile as these Police Officers and crews, rescue crews clean up this accident. We did hear them talk about how theyre working to open the left two lanes shortly. As you can see it is still stalled. Like you were talking about this is a busy travel day, actually one of the busiest of the year and they are expecting not only the roadways to be congested all morning long but also the airports. This is a main thorofare to get to the airport. Both directions of the road were shut down and airport travelers were being diverted. It looks like as of now you are able to get to the airport from here but it is slow going. If you are trying to make a flight this morning, youre going to want to live extra time, possibly even try to avoid this area altogether. If youre driving, make sure you pull over excuse me, make room, excuse me, for the rescue crews that are pulled over here still trying to get the roadway cleared route 28 near 66. This from overseas in australia today where more than a dozen people were injured after a vehicle rammed into a crowd in what Police Called a deliberate act. Reporter Victoria Police have finished an evening briefing. This is considered an intentional act. Police say they do not have any evidence right now to connect it to terrorism. It was just before 5 00 p. M. On a busy street in Melbourne CentralBusiness District people were Holiday Shopping and waiting at a cable car stop. The region has been on high alert since an attack that killed four. A white suzuki suv ran a red light sped up then crashed through pedestrian barriers and into the crowd without braking. At t injured, many in critical condition. One of those is a small child with serious head injuries. Now, youre looking at pictures from our sky news affiliate of one man being arrested by Victoria Police. He appears to be unconscious and officers were seen trying to revive him. Then we have video for you of another man who was seen sitting on the ground in handcuffs and calmly talking to investigators. There he is right there. Now, Victoria Police say the driver of the suv is a 34yearold Australian Citizen of afghan descent. They say hes known to police with a history of assault, drug use and Mental Health issues. The other man who was taken into custody apparently was seen filming the incident on his phone and was carrying Knives Police said they do not believe he has a connection to the driver. Prime minister turnbull called it a shocking act and sent prayers for the victims. And first responders. Well be following all the details here.
