The body of 27yearold Jasmine Wright was found just over a week ago in her West Philadelphia apartment. Now, police say theyve nab the guy responsible for her death. Awaiting the results of fingerprints and dna apparently those results coming in and now they say they have their suspect suspect. He is 56yearold james harris. Ill step out of the way. You can see here this is where the victim lived. Shes being remembered with a sign on her door as well as a teddy bear. Now james harris is the former Maintenance Man at this building here. He officially been charged with murder and Sexual Assault of 27yearold Jasmine Wright. This happened a week ago yesterday. The woman just finishing grad school at Drexel University found dead in her bad room on the third floor. Now as the former Maintenance Man harris did have the key to the building. Its not exactly clear at this point how he had the key to the victims individual unit. He should not have had that key. But he got in, apparently waited 30 minutes for the victim to come home, when he allegedly came from behind her and attacked. She did according to police try to fight him off. It wasnt enough. She was beaten and strangle. Now he had apparently been fired as the Maintenance Man here just a week earlier but never returned the key to the building. Motive right now still uncertain. He had been working as a Maintenance Man here for few months and based on his criminal past many are wondering how he ever got hired. He is 56 years of age. Hes got 31 priors. Back in 82 he was arrested for killing his own father. Hes been arrested several times for Sexual Assault. Several robberies several burglaries. I mean he was a monster. Reporter now this attack happened as the victim was on the phone talking to her mother in virginia. The mom apparently heard this. Heard the struggle and the phone line went dead. And lot of communication at that point. Amtrak suspended services between philadelphia and new york for five days while that crash was cleaned up and now investigators are trying to figure out whether airlines took advantage of the derailment by jacking up their prices. Delta american, united, southwest and jet blue are the targets of the probe. Secretary of transportation anthony fox is launching a full investigation. Those airlines have allegedly raised fees beyond what you would ordinarily expect in the north eat corridor at a time when the amtrak line was shut down. And our investigation our inquiry is focused on getting to the bottom of whether there were unfair practices involved in setting prices at that time. They have limited number of seats and the demand went up because of the travel in the northeast corridor between boston, new york and philadelphia.
