Not colds at all. Good sleeping wetter. Last thing you ate before you went to bed last night . I dont i think i had a ban and. Cheese steak . Did you have a cheese steak. I had a cheese steak and i had a bliss kit sandwich from Mission Barbeque cheese steak from adriannas, little bit of each, competition between the two. And the barbeque because of the texas connection, so, you know, i had plenty to eat. In fact, avenue lot let over. Tim, doing this for school in texas hit by harvey. But you say this is a district wide initiative. Think kindness is the name of it . Think kindness what kicked off this whole thinking process, with all of the hurricanes we wanted to do something, and think Kindness Program we will bring to our school this year, to our district this year, just getting kids thinking about simple things they can do, simple tasks, opening a door, picking something up, saying something kinds. Larger scale of that initiative. But thats where it all start from the. So 8,000, youve signed the check, you sealed it, you delivered it, it is head today texas . Checks probably already there, with the support of my pto and the support of their pto down there, the check should be in their hands right now as we speak. Tim long from the top of Newtown Middle School, karen, 800 students, 10 apiece, they raised 8,000, very easily for the kids in texas. Oh, so nicely done. Thats amazing and great work by the kids and the principal, lauren, thank you so much. From that great story to this one. How about tonight . Plus, weve got all of these other players just awesome, as well, jj reddick, contributing players liar dario sarik. Covington. A lot to be hopeful for. Playing the wizards in washington tonight at 7 00. All right, here is something that get a little wild, overnight, where sometimes things can get a little bit sketchy in a 7eleven, two women walk in. There they are. Police there say they were forced to body slam them . We will explain what happened. And well show this one. Oh, horrific break, we will take a look at the reaction right there from the player. Oh, what happened to a celtics player badly injured in the opener . Well have more in two minutes. When youre a doubledipping pensionpadder like steve sweeney, its important to maintain a certain. Lifestyle. Thats why sweeney spent over a hundred grand of his Campaign Funds on highpriced meals and other gifts. Were talking fine cigars, fancy watches, pricey restaurants, and expensive wines all to charm the type of folks who helped him raise your taxes 145 times. Too many in south jersey are struggling. But steve sweeneys looking out for himself, not for us. Sue, grab a coat, it will be a nice one . Yes. By the type the sun comes out, it will be much improved. But we have a frost advisory in effect, this is mostly for the pine barens, down in southern new jersey, where we do expect temperatures and that country area to be in the mid 30s, this morning, so, there will be some widely scattered frost, perhaps, on your pumpkin. If thats where you live this morning. Heres some temperatures to check. 38 degrees in pottstown. Were in the lower 40s for mount pocono, all the way over to lancaster. 48 degrees in the city. But, in the aforementioned southern new jersey, it is only 38 in vineland, 41 in hammonton, 48 in sea isle city, and down in north cape may, we have 53 degrees. So, High Pressure has been our weather maker since yesterday. It is still on shore. But as it moves off shore today, we will move in with a southwesterly wind. That will will allow for slightly miler temperatures, over the next couple every days, storm system from the weekend, still stalled. But far to our south, though, thats not going to booth he is us for awhile. In fact, we had temperatures yesterday, that were below average, it was so chilly in the morning, it was kind of a shock to the system for many. Atlantic city was 57. For a high. Philadelphia only got to 61, and we were lower 60s everywhere else, expecting to gain 10 degrees, yeah, 71 degrees should be our high in philly. It will be about 68 for a high in wildwood. And 66 in mount pocono. As we look ahead, 72, tomorrow, 72 on friday, mid 70s over the weekends, looking great until about the eagles game on monday night. Thats our next chance of showers. Remember, 101. 1 moore fm is our radio partner, and we get your forecast there on the radio for you and here on tv all morning long. Isnt it fun to be on good day philadelphia, bob kelly . It is fun, a and so fun great to have you back here having fun with us, hope youre feeling better there, take it easy, get your hot tea going, 5 17. Live look at the schuylkill, westbound, schuylkill expressway, right near conshohocken, still working at the offer ramp here. Otherwise coming in from new jersey, they pick up all of the cones, so starting to see some volume on the freeway coming in toward the walt whitman bridge. And then, live look at route 422, where were starting to see some volume pop from collegeville in to king of prussia. Mass transit, though, still in good shape. Karen back over to you. Bob, thank you. Fire fight remembers taking advantage of some of the better weather, talking about the weather here, how about the weather naught california . It has gotten little easier. Lighter winds in northern california, little rainout, there do have a lot more challenge as they face these wilds fires right now part of the slopes of the territory. You can look at it, dram oatlike. Crews trying to put out fire, burning on the really Steep Mountain us terrain, in the santa cruz area. And it is difficult, because some of the best ways to get in the access point are dirt roads, and they were greatly erroded during last winters mudslides. So the roads are outment and then the worsening air quality, thats creating problems for so many there. You can see all of the smoke, in the nappa valley, so bad, theyre not even opening schools, because they dont want the kids to be out in it. We know these have been deadly the wilds fires there, such destruction, 41 people lost hear thrives, more than 6,000 homes destroyed in those fires. All right, 5 18. We have some lawmakers struggling to get a deal. Maybe were going to get one right now. Deal to extend some of those Obamacare Health insurance exchanges, because it seemed like they were going to die. This all comes after a move by the president , to ends the federal sub study for these programs to make them affordable for the state. So this is an agreement that has somebody work interesting one side and the other bipartisan agreement, allowing lower income americans to continue to buy their coverage through those obamacare market for two more years, big relief. So what are they giving up in exchanges . States will have greater flexibility, when it comes to what they will be required to cover. All right, there was something that just happened in our area, pretty terrifying, right by a hospital, mercy fitzgerald, and there was bus stop all the sudden car comes barreling over the bus stop and through the shelter where two people were. These were older people. All happened yesterday afternoon, right, there on busy lansdowne avenue. Thats the after effect. Car finally stops when it slams into that tree. Police say the driver is an older woman, she lost control of that car, right there, in front of the mercy fitzgerald. She over corrected. She thought she was going to be hitting a car so she swerved and hit the bus shelter two people inside. She went over that bump right into the bus stop and ran them over. Ran over them. Because the car went boom boom boom. Then she ran into the tree. So 62 year old woman there, one of the witnesses said, pushed a 82 year old man out of the way, saving him, but she took the brunt of that hit. So they were injured. They were taken right there to mercy fitzgerald. Testing the drivers blood, they did that, but they really think in this case it was just a horribly unfortunate accident. All right, 5 20. So sometimes Convenience Stores overnight, they go there, look what happened at one of our 7elevens, a brawl at 2 00 a. M. Everyone talking about this one there is was a 7eleven up in the frank forwards section of philadelphia. It all started when some Staff Members asked those two women right there to leave, because they thought they had shoplifted the night before. They wouldnt leave. So then the store security came over and locked them inside. Well, then you can see what the women had, banking on the doors, let us out, let us out. Then they start knocking things over, and the employees grabbed pepper spray. At one point, one of the offenders picks up bottles of lighter fluid. And start sprague it all over the store. And with a lighter threatened to burn down the store if they didnt let them out of ther. So then they were throwing stuff over there off the counter, all of the things theyre using, whats there. The Police Officer comes and then he gets sort of charged right there, and, you know, he ends up like getting one of the women, put her in a headlock, knocking around into things, so all being investigated. So it all got worse when they started whipping things, there are all of the charges theyre facing rightful, so taken into custody and theyre g whole heep of trouble. 5 21. We got more good news, if you are looking for a job, there may and job for you. Penndot says you know what . Theyre hiring part time now but co
