We have breaking news out of northeast philadelphia. Police say an 11yearold girl suddenly died. Neighbor found the child unresponsive during a sleepover. Reporter bill as you can well imagine this is a neighborhood in mourning, sadness hanging over the neighborhood here on angus place. Young girl was found around 10 15 this morning at that house with the orange pickup truck. A neighbors home, parents were home. Five or six children were at the house for a sleepover overnight. She was found around 10 15 this morning unresponsive taken to a local hospital and then pronounced dead. Northeast detectives and detectives from around the city have been working on this investigation all day long. They still do not have a cause of death. The death at this point appears to be a miss tree until the Coroners Office can conduct an autopsy here. Police have held the scene here all day long with crime seen tape around the home. We are told by Police Sources that they have now obtained a search warrant so they can go through the home with the crime scene unit. The crime scene unit and northeast detectives expected back out here on the scene within the hour and as i said before, this is a neighborhood in mourning. Sadness in the neighborhood. We spoke to one of the young girls neighbors earlier this afternoon. Devastating. I dont know. Its really sad. Its horrible. Very nice kid. Theyre all, you know, they all played out here. Um, all the time. All the kids play out here. Its just crazy. Reporter now, again, neighborhood in mourning here. Folks sad. Neighbors and relatives have been stopping by the home of the little girl. She lives two doors down from the house where the sleepover was held. Again, this happened around 10 15 this morning when she was found unresponsive and taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Hopefully well know more soon. Firefighters are trying to figure out what started a fire at a home in germantown. It started after 3 00 this afternoon on the 400 block of wenonah street. Skyfox over the home as smoke poured out and firefighters were on the roof to gain control of the flames. It took about half hour to get the fire under control. One person was brought to temple hospital. But we dont know the extent of their injuries. Developing right now, the search for a hitandrun driver who killed a man. Philadelphia police now have the car involved but theyre still after the person driving it. Police say 58yearold man was simply trying to cross city avenue and 54th street in wynnefield last night when a car hit him and kept on going. A judge has ordered a 16 year old boy to stand trial in the shooting deaths of two teens in south philadelphia. Prosecutors say Brandon Oliveri shot and killed Caleer Miller and salvatori did he noble in october both were also 16. Investigators say an argument on south 12th street started the whole thing. Police say the car crashed into that home on east Chestnut Avenue and louis avenue in bellmawr around 10 00 this morning. One person suffered a minor injury from the crash. I think l andism went out there, um, animal control went out there as well. Umhmm. I think they was they actually called her mom because she thought she was still at the house to see if she can let them in. And i dont know why they thought would still be at the house. Bless you. I just knew that journey was in the hospital. My mom sent us the pictures and i didnt even recognize her. So pretty much, you know i got up and ran to the hospital and trying to figure out what was wrong. When they told us she was attacked by raccoon i was like hold up, a raccoon my first, why she outside 9 00 oclock at night and you know, they finally told us she was in the house, in the bed asleep. The mom just fed her just laid her down and, you know, here we go. Days later and this happen. We were showing the pictures what it was like when it first happen. Do you mind journey so we can see her face. What do the doctors other side sorry so we can see face. What do the doctors say is she going to be scarred or what the longterm effects from this attack . Basically the doctor said it will take a year for them to actually see if the scars will going to really heal and disappear by itself. She dont have to get Plastic Surgery or anything. Okay. We see her right eye a little bit is her vision okay . The eye going to be the vision good. Severing good. They said they was able to save her eye nom effects on the eye. Its still kind of swollen from the swelling. Everything is still coming back. First she couldnt even open her eye and this is actually a great improvement. Its progress. Two days, yes. So shes i mean shes a happy baby alert, playful. I mean, shes journey again. Wow. Shes beautiful, isnt she. So good to see her doing well. Its a blessing that she is okay.
