Developing right now investigators in Southern California have found the body of a missing student from the university of pennsylvania. Orange county sheriffs investigators found 19yearold blaze bernsteins body in a park. Police say a friend of bernsteins was the last one to see him last tuesday night in that very same park. His family reported him missing the next day. Bernsteins parents spoke at a News Conference this afternoon. Blaze was a brilliant colorful and charismatic man who shined light on all lives in communities and people he touched needless to say our family is devastated by the ne news. So we came to harrisburg today to watch Governor Wolf sign this declaration. All this while still more people overdose and die in 2017. In the Reception Room Governor Wolf takes what he says is the next step in the war on opioid abuse long running brutal battle pennsylvania is losing. Pennsylvania now has the fourth highest overdose rate in the country. In 2016, we lost over 4,600 pennsylvanians to this disease. Reporter there were more deaths in 2017, so wolf signed a statewide disaster declaration to increase access to treatment he says and save lives. Used mostly for natural disasters, wolf argues the declaration will wipe away rules hampering efforts to fight the epidemic.
