Police say a man was trying to mow down people on the sidewalk but an off duty officer stopped him down by stat shooting and killing him it happened around seven cot 30 this morning near the intersection of north broad and bigler streets. Investigators say the guy in the car tried again and again to hit people. That off duty officer warned him to stop before opening fire. The man died at the hospital. Police say though did he hit one person with his car. We do not know how that person is doing. Now, in reading, a shooting has Officials Say they cannot remember its last time so many people died in one incident. Four young men all in the same house are dead. We have no suspects at this time. With that being said we do not believe, um, that this was a random act and that anybody in the city of reading has any reason to be alarmed. Now police say that the men were all in their early 20s and that their killer or killers shot them again and again in that house on south third street last night. Investigators have identified three of the victims. Jar lineate had dark Juan Rodriguez and joshua santos. Three of the men died at the scene. The fourth died at the hospital.
