Skyfox over wheeler street where police say just before 9 00 tonight someone shot the woman in the stomach. Police say another person drove her to the hospital where shes in critical condition. Police do not yet have anyone in custody. Happening now, jury has found the man accused of ambushing a Philadelphia Police officer guilty. Reporter iain this day comes two years after the shooting happened and the officer says he is glad this is over and hes just ready to get back to doing the job he loves. Trying my absolute best to get back something that was taken away from me. Reporter officer Jesse Hartnett left court this evening feeling hopeful after jury convicted the man who shot him. They found Edward Archer guilty of aggravated assault and other charges. I knew what the out come was going to be of this. It was the matter whether the jury felt the same way. Reporter leaving the criminal Justice Center officer hartnett told reporters he still recovering from a broken arm and nerve damage he suffered. Physically of course i have some limitations im working on. I still have physical therapy. Reporter during the trial, the jury watched that cringing Surveillance Video showing archer walk up to hartnett foss pass troll car and fire on him. Hartnett wounded managed to open the door and fire back. He even followed archer on foot as officers moved in to arrest him. I have an extreme passion for the job. This is something that ive always wanted to do, um, i can remember being a little child, small child, and thinking that i want to be a police officer. Reporter Archers Court appointed defense Attorney Says archer was paranoid and barely communicated with him. He has a history of paranoid schizophrenia in his family, and i tried to have a judge declare him incompetent because he was unable to cooperate with me. He believed that i was trying to brain wash his family. Reporter officer hartnett said hes now looking forward to finding out how much time archer will get. Delawares division of Forensic Sciences says skeletal remains found on january 19th on mount friend ship road in smyrna belonged to keisha hamilton. Her husband cortez hamilton plead guilty to murder in the Second Degree last week and told authorities where to find his wifes body. Police put out amber alert after keisha and their two children disappeared in 2015. They found the two kids with cortez in indiana the next day. Credit card skimmers popping up in montgomery county. So far its happened five times to more than 50 people. Fox 29s brad sattin talked to one of the the victims tonight in lower pottsgrove. Reporter there have been dozens of local recent cases including one man who youre about to hear from who love hundreds of dollars. The number of these cases is going up, but police say there are ways to protect yourself. I just think theyre awful people. I dont know how you can sleep at night taking thaw money from people. Reporter this man was one of 52 victims in december when someone put a skimmer on the credit and debit card scanner inn sigh this turkey hill in lower pottsgrove township. Reporter now police at least have the faces of two men who they say were involved in targeting two aldi grocery stores.
