They were mobbing beau allen and jason kelce as they left after signing autographs for more than two hours and as you guys mentioned kelce was the star of the night after that epic philly speech yesterday. So many people excited to see their eagles tonight. Not quite a parade but still throngs showing up outside carls cards in havertown to see the eagles of the hour. How was that. It was awesome. Hes awesome. Reporter hours in line for a glimpse and an autograph of players beau allen and jason kelce. Many here after hearing kelces viral speech given at the eagles par just a day ago. This is literally been like the Biggest Group of underdogs i believe. I think were the only team in history to be the number one seed and be the underdog in every single game. So, um, you know, i think that it was just something it just kept running through my head. Reporter hundreds of fans and families 40 tickets for a memory to hold on to. Speaking of jason kelce, whole lot of people are still talking about this now iconic outfit kelce marching of course in the par raised champions yesterday in this mummers suit it turns out suit was made a decade ago by james may. Hes a mummers designer who has since retired. We decided to take a trip to his mays office take a trip to mays office in ridley township where he showed us how the whole idea started. May designed the suit for the avalon string band for the mummers and that year it was an irish theme. He looked very good in it. He looked like a leprechaun with the beard and everything kind of went with it, you know. And he was the perfect guy to sell it. He just he has that personality. He was the perfect guy. May says he has not yet met kelce but he definitely wants to meet him. He said he was very pleased when he found out that jason kelce wore his design. City officials in philadelphia are hailing the eagles championship parade a huge success. Police say there were just two arrests, four Police Cars Damaged and one jumbo tron toppled over. There was a store vandalized and two stabbings during the day. One on the parkway after a fight. Now, the crowd size well officials wont say an exact number. But most who were there agree there were more people on the streets than the phillies parade back in 2008. Taking a live look now over the ben franklin parkway. Workers have been spending the better part of last day cleaning up that huge mess from the parade. Thats where our bruce gordon spent a lot of time. He talk to some of those workers and other city officials about what it takes to straighten up after such a monumental event. Reporter the equipment was already disappearing friday morning but the mother of all celebrations will not soon be forgotten. Freddie garcia flew in from california. Not a bad little party . Honestly ive never ever ever seen anything like this. It was just insane. Like it was so much love. So much energy. Reporter so much trash. My midday friday 60 tons it collected by Streets Department crews. More than for the phillies World Series Party or the papal visit. Eakins oval looked like a battle feel. Left workers feeling he was bailing out the titanic with a tea cup. Right now the trash, the cans deep in the mud. So i got to kind of like dig in. Department Officials Say their clean up followed the parade up broad street. But admit the parkway was a chore. Their biggest job ever. As expected, the massive crowds along the art museum and parkway caused some delays which made the challenging for us to access the area to clean the parkway right away. Reporter as for the worst job ever, that belongs to Allison Santos cleaning out portable toilets if my crowd estimates are correct averaged nearly 1100 users per potty. How are these toilets after all that use yesterday . Bad. Theyre full to the top. Reporter ill take his word for it. To no ones surprise the mess did not end the parkway. Some nearby neighbors complained their streets were trashed without consequence. No police in the neighborhood at all. Um, much like the fourth of july and much like made in america the neighborhood is forgotten about. Reporter mr. Santos the gentleman we showed you cleaning out the toilets turn turns out he was brought here from connecticut for the job. Yeah, hes a new England Patriots fan. Thats what i call poetic justice. On the parkway, bruce gordon, fox 29 news. The roller coaster weather isnt just affecting your heal health. Its also a problem on the roads. Were talking about potholes. Fox 29s joanne pill lee gee joins us live in studio. The problem popping up ive seen it all over the city. Reporter well, thats right, chris. It didnt take long. A few minutes driving in center city this evening and we bumped in and out of a number of potholes. Its the season and drivers you need to be cautious. There is really no way to avoid the dreaded pothole at this time of year. Potholes are opening up because of the heat cold cycle getting biggerring gig we are potholes now. Reporter thats right the freeze and thaw cycle brought to us by Mother Nature creates this road hazard every year. It sounds like my wheel is going fall off. Reporter thats the last thing you want to happen but drivers have yet another major distract right now. Trying to steer clear of the potholes. This is a tire off an x350 big dual truck. Hit a pothole coming down whats the name of that street . Vine expressway. And as soon as he hit it, it just destroyed the tire. Getting suspension problems. Broken springs. Broken shocks. Broken tires. Bent rims. The norm of hitting a pothole. I think theres plenty of them and they need to fix them. Some as big as craters. Reporter road crews have already been out there this wept patching holes. But one gets filled, another opens up somewhere else. And those done right now are filled with a gravel mix. They can make proper repairs when it gets warmer. Theyre really bad. I come by this way so much i know where they all are. I seen people come in. Try to piss a pothole i ran into a curb. So you still got damage. Reporter yeah, run into the pothole or hit the curb all bad. No simple solution here. If you see one in the city report it by call 311 or a state road or highway call one hi 800 fix road. Use caution, slow down. Replacing your tire or rim can be very expensive. Back to you dawn. Thank you joanne. Taking live look at doylestown, bucks county temperatures are warming up, but you might want to hold off on making any outdoor plans. Meteorologist Scott Williams is tracking a soggy weekend forecast which he has in 15 seconds. Its dry, quiet and chilly for now. But ultimate doppler lit up to the south. The idea here is to pro void night of fun for children with autism who may not get invite the to things like this or have a difficult time playing in environments that can be stressful. The eighth graders say tonight was a blast. First i thought it would be a lock in with all eighth graders. I was nervous once i heard we were with the kids. Pennsylvania attorney general josh shapiro was staning against proposed change by the Trump Administration. President trump wants to revoke an obama era rule prohibiting restaurants from taking servers tips. The rule change would allow employers to keep all tips for workers who make minimum wage. Shapiro says it would be devastating in tip pulling becomes legal. I believe this will harm waiters and waitresses, bartenders other Service Industry workers who count on their tips to feed their families, pay their rent and earn a living. I have been in the industry in philadelphia for two years now, ive experienced all different types of wage and tip theft. The Trump Administration says the rule has contributed to pay disparities between servers and other staff. Theres fear attached to reporting potential, you know, retaliation.
