in lafayette, louisiana and the morning, investigators are processing a large crime scene after a shooter killed two people and then himself. Nine others were injured according to the most recent count. The gunfire started around 7 30 last night at the grand theater. Those first shots rang out about 20 minutes into the new amy schumer movie trainwreck. At the time there were about 100 salespeople seated people seated. For this mike hydeck. Yesterday the judge ruled the jury will be able to hear about the photo lineup. Serve is charged with that murder as well as the murders of ron kirby and nancy dunning. Im surae chinn in the newsroom with new information an mistakes made in handling live anthrax by the government. The pentagon says this was a massive institutional failure involving the dangerous biotoxin. A number of shipments of potentially live anthrax is rising. The pentagon first learned of the mistake when a private commercial lab in maryland informed it had received a live sample last week. All the suspected samples came from an army bioterror facility in dugway, utah which produces the largest amount of anthrax. The cdc has traced samples to 183 labs across the world and in the u. S. Including maryland, virginia, and the district of columbia. Thats more than twice the number previously reported. Right now, whats causing problem is we just it takes days in some cases to determine if any lots that we are testing have any live anthrax in them. Reporter the pentagon has ordered the secretary of the army to investigate to determine which individuals are to blame. 31 lab workers are taking antibiotics as a precaution. The cdc has traced samples to 183 labs across the world and here in the u. S. Including maryland, virginia, and the district of columbia. Thats more than twice the number previously reported. The federal government doesnt think that is the end of it. They dont know the entire scope of the problem just yet. Because this has been going on since 2003. A private commercial lab in maryland informed the pentagon it had received a live sample in may. All the suspected samples came from an army bioterror facility in dugway, utah which produces the largest amount of anthrax to ship out to other labs. But technicians are supposed to kill the bacteria with gamma rays and then test the samples. Investigators believe they were trying to kill too much at one time and inadequately tested afterwards. 31 lab workers are taking antibiotics as a precaution. So far, no one has gotten sick and the
